08:00 AM - Arrival at Mulanje Mountain Base

• Meet your guide and support team at the base of Mulanje Mountain. Enjoy a briefing on the trail, safety measures, and what to expect during your adventure. Check your gear and prepare for an exciting day ahead.

09:00 AM - Start the Hike to Chisepo Hut

• Begin your trek through the Mulanje Forest, surrounded by towering trees, vibrant vegetation, and cascading streams. The hike is moderate in difficulty, gradually ascending through lush greenery and providing stunning views along the way.
• Trail Highlights: Encounter diverse flora, tranquil waterfalls, and panoramic views of the surrounding valley.

12:00 PM - Rest and Lunch Stop

• Take a break halfway through the hike. Enjoy a packed lunch while soaking in the natural beauty of the area. Your guide will share insights into the ecology and history of Mulanje Mountain.

03:00 PM - Arrival at Chisepo Hut

• Reach Chisepo Hut, a cozy resting spot nestled in the mountain's heart. Take in the panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. Unwind with a warm meal as you relax and reflect on the day's journey.
• Evening Activities: Enjoy a delicious dinner prepared by your team and relax around the campfire. Your guide will share stories of the mountain's cultural significance and the various hiking routes.

Overnight: Rest at Chisepo Hut, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of Mulanje Mountain, in preparation for the challenging summit hike tomorrow.

06:00 AM - Wake Up & Breakfast

• Rise early to catch the first light of the day. Enjoy a hearty breakfast at Chisepo Hut to fuel up for the challenging trek to Sapitwa Peak.

07:00 AM - Begin the Ascent to Sapitwa Peak

• Begin the exhilarating journey to the summit! The trail becomes steeper as you ascend, but the incredible views make every step worth it. Pass Namizimu Falls, a beautiful cascade of water that adds an extra sense of adventure to your hike.
• As you climb, take in the diversity of landscapes—lush forests, rocky paths, and panoramic views stretching across Malawi’s highlands.

11:30 AM - Reach Sapitwa Peak

• After a challenging but rewarding hike, arrive at Sapitwa Peak—the highest point of Mulanje Mountain. The views from here are nothing short of spectacular, offering a sweeping 360-degree panorama of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
• Lunch at the Summit: Enjoy a packed lunch at the peak while soaking in the breathtaking scenery. Take time to rest, snap photos, and relish your accomplishment.

12:30 PM - Begin Descent

• After soaking in the views, begin the descent back down to Chisepo Hut. The journey down is less strenuous but requires caution due to the steepness of the terrain.
• Duration of descent: Approx. 3-4 hours.

04:30 PM - Return to Chisepo Hut

• Arrive back at Chisepo Hut after an incredible day of hiking and conquering the summit. Enjoy a brief rest and refresh yourself before beginning the final descent to the base.

06:00 PM - Depart for Mulanje Base

• After a fulfilling adventure, descend from Chisepo Hut back to the base of Mulanje Mountain, where your transport will be ready to take you to your next destination or accommodation.
